Hey Tom:
I just installed the new IONCUBE V13 so that I could install the PHP 8.2.10 version on Windows IIS. This is all being done on a new webserver.

I had the XT-CMS 3 up and running, but when I installed the new IONCUBE V13 ....I can't get XT-CMS to login to the admin stuff...It won't go to that site.

I get a " This page isn%u2019t working localhost is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500"

My php path in the ini file is pointing to:  zend_extension = "C:\Program Files (x86)\PHP\v8.2.10\ext\ioncube\ioncube_loader_win_8.2.dll"



user guide of IONCUBE says:
  * The Loader for PHP 8.2 can only run files produced by the
    version 13 Encoder for PHP 8.2. Updates for any existing
    files produced for PHP 8.1 should be obtained to use
    them with PHP 8.2.

  * The Loader for PHP 8.1 can only run files produced by the
    version 12 Encoder for PHP 8.1.


It was pointing to ioncube_loader_win8.1.dll in the PHP\v8.1\ext\ioncube\ folder when it was coming up with the admin page for XT-CMS.

Hi Karen, you'll need to stick with the 8.1ioncube loader as the 8.2 loaders only came out last month and the current release versions of the CMS aren't using v13(8.2 loaders).

I think you should be able to use the 8.1 loader with PHP 8.2 although I haven't tested this so not sure, if it doesn't work you would need to stick with PHP8.1 and the 8.1 loader. First thing you should check is switching back to the ioncube_loader_win8.1.dll loader file.

Yes IONCUBE v13 will work with PHP 8.1....and XT-CMS 3.1v if you point to the ioncube_loader_win8.1.dll loader file.   

Just let us know when its all set, and then I'll point to the ioncube_loader_win8.2.dll so that it can work with the PHP 8.2 versions.

I have confirmed that you can't go up to PHP 8.2 with the above win8.1.dll loader file.

Yeah I just tested there myself with PHP8.2 and it will require a new CMS build with ioncubeV13. So for now PHP8.1 with 8.1 loader are the highest versions that work with the current release versions of the CMS.

By the way just for clarity you do not need to install the ioncube v13 software, you only need the appropriate loader file for your server which can be downloaded free at https://www.ioncube.com/loaders.php
